Description A long throw projection whiteboard specially made with an increased matt surface. This allows projectors to be used at greater distances without causing reflective hot spots. Normal whiteboards benefit from a smooth and shiny surface. Whereas a projector benefits from a non-reflective, matt surface which prevents the light from coming back out of the surface. A projection whiteboard needs to balance these functions. For modern short throw projectors we have a number of designs and sizes and they work well as dual surface. Long throw boards are not as common. It should be understood that the surface has a greater lean into being a matt surface. This is necessary to stop the hot spots but does mean some reduction in the board efficiency as a dry wipe surface. When using the board as a whiteboard it should be cleaned with a microfiber cloth. This product should be considered as projection surface first and as an occasional drywipe board second. The board has a high quality, vitreous enamel surface. Enamel is considered one of the premium dry wipe surfaces because of it’s hardness and non-porous surface. Additionally, enamel is extremely durable and hard-wearing. The specially treated surface is allows it to be used as an occasional dry wipe board, a projector screen, or both at the same time. You can highlight areas of discussion, annotate the projected image, and simply wipe it away with a microfibre cloth. The boards are supplied in a choice of two screen format sizes. This allows the board size to match your projected image size with minimum screen wastage.
