Enamel is considered one of the premium dry wipe surfaces because of it’s hardness, smoothness and non-porous surface. Additionally, enamel is extremely durable and hard-wearing. However left untreated the surface is still too smooth (shiny) for it work efficiently as a projection screen. So the enamel surface is acid etched to create that all important semi-matt finish. It’s a successful and established method. A dedicated projector screen will out-perform a semi-matt whiteboard, that’s only to be expected. But when it comes to convenience, space saving and being able to annotate your projected images, it definitely has advantages.
