The digital print process means there are no limitations to what we can print on the board surface. We use a very high quality print method called digital dye sublimation. This means your information is printed directly onto the surface of the board. It’s a printing method that is used for hard surfaces like signs and mugs. Without getting too involved, it’s a heat, pressure & piezoelectric process. One of the many advantages of this process is something called continuous-tone technology. This allows each dot to be a different colour. When we compare this to say an ink-jet printer, each ink drop is limited to the number of ink cartridges installed. What does Dye Sublimation Mean to Me? Don’t worry if you find the terminology confusing. Just be assured the result of the print process is a nearly permanent, high resolution, full color print. The dyes are infused into the product at the molecular level. As opposed to applying them at a topical level (such as screen printing), the prints do not crack, fade or peel from the substrate under normal conditions. In short this process allows us to offer one of the best and longest guarantees (10 years) over just about all other techniques. Some manufacturers print on a clear film that is bonded to the whiteboard surface. We rejected this approach as we found some issues with it. This included some incompatibility with certain dry wipe pens leaving a ink residue that was difficult to remove. We believe that dye sublimation is the best technique for transferring print & graphics to hard surface. What size of whiteboards can I have printed? Our standard sizes range from 900mm x 600mm to 2400mm x 1200mm maximum. We can also supply your bespoke printed whiteboard cut-to-size! Plus pre-printed A4 education lapboards. What format do I send my artwork in? We accept most PC files formats including PDF, MS Word, MS Spreadsheets, JPEG, WebP, AVIF, Tiff and many more. When supplying photos, logos and other artwork, it should be sent in as a high resolution file. That file should match the size of the final printed version, otherwise images become blocky and of poor quality. Is there a charge for artwork? The prices in our store are for orders that have artwork in a PC file, like a Word doc, a spreadsheet, a PDF file or other file that we can upgrade and enlarge.If you only have a rough idea and want us to create the artwork from scratch, then we do have charges for that, please contact us for a quote. We are happy to evaluate your artwork if you are unsure of the cost. Proofs are FREE, but are only provided once an order has been placed because of the work involved. How Long does it take? On average custom whiteboards take approximately three weeks from your approval of the pre-production proof. Please also note the lead time usually applies from receipt of the signed proof approval. Do you offer discounts for quantity? Yes. Customers are offered reduced prices on increasing quantities. Generally we offer increasing discounts on 2,4,6 and further board amounts. Pricing is dependant on size, frame type, artwork and of course quantity. Get a Free quote. Caring for your printed whiteboard The printed whiteboard surface is guaranteed for at least 10 years. However customers should not use any chemical cleaners & disinfectants as they may react badly with the whiteboard surface and cause damage which is not covered by the guarantee. A dry or slightly damp cloth should be used in most cases with a recommended cleaning fluid from time to time.
